To Infinity, and Beyond!
This is my final installment as pastor of Epworth UMC. We are sad to leave behind so many good memories, and to leave so soon. But we are excited for the new things God has in store for us. In a time of change and upheaval, it is important to remember and hold strong to faith–knowing God is taking care of us today and tomorrow–that the future is in God’s hands. Listen to Ephesians 3:20, “God can do anything, you know–far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams. He does it by…his spirit working deeply and gently within us.” That is the God we trust.

Happy Father’s Day
We all know God is watching, and sometimes that’s creepy to think about. If we have a guilty conscience then it’s really upsetting to think about. But, when we read Luke 15 and we hear about the father of the prodigal son, it tells us something different about the Father’s Love. The phrase, “the father is watching” takes on a whole new meaning in light of this story. The Father waits with compassion and a deep desire to be close to you.

Why I Am United Methodist
So, without getting into a discussion on why we should abolish denominationalism altogether…I am going to just let you know why I choose to be United Methodist. I’ll give you two reason why I might consider leaving the denomination, but then I give three reasons why I choose to stay. You may have your own reasons…let me know what those are.
